\nKigen-setsu was one of the four most important holidays along with Shiho-hai, Tencho-setsu and Meiji-setsu.<\/p>\n

\u25c61966\u5e74\uff08\u662d\u548c41\u5e74\uff09\u306b2\u670811\u65e5\u306f\u5efa\u56fd\u8a18\u5ff5\u306e\u65e5\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002
\nFebruary 11th became National Foundation Day, in 1966 (Showa 41st yr).<\/p>\n

\nShinto shrines, Right Wing people and some government officers are eager to reinstate Kigen-setsu.<\/p>\n

\u25c6\u4e00\u65b9\u3001\u8ecd\u56fd\u4e3b\u7fa9\u306e\u5fa9\u6d3b\u3084\u601d\u60f3\u30fb\u5b97\u6559\u30fb\u5b66\u554f\u306e\u81ea\u7531\u3092\u8105\u304b\u3059\u3068\u7d00\u5143\u7bc0\u306b\u53cd\u5bfe\u3059\u308b\u4eba\u3082\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002
\nOn the other hand, some people are opposed to Kigen-setsu because they fear that it may revive militarism and infringe on freedom of thought, religion and education.<\/p>\n

\u25c6\u30a2\u30e1\u30ea\u30ab\u306e\u72ec\u7acb\u8a18\u5ff5\u65e5\u3084\u4ed6\u306e\u56fd\u306e\u5efa\u56fd\u8a18\u5ff5\u65e5\u3068\u9055\u3063\u3066\u3001\u65e5\u672c\u3067\u306f\u3053\u306e\u65e5\u3092\u795d\u3046\u7279\u5225\u306a\u56fd\u5bb6\u898f\u6a21\u306e\u884c\u4e8b\u306f\u3042\u308a\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3002
\nUnlike Independence Day in the United States, or national foundation days of other countries, there are no special national events held in Japan to commemorate this day.<\/p>\n

\nAt the same time, some people attend protest rallies against National Foundation Day.<\/p>\n
