\/>\nChoyo-no-sekku falls on September 9th in the lunar calendar (October 9th in the solar calendar), and it is also called Kiku-no-sekku (the Chrysanthemum Festival).<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u53e4\u6765\u4e2d\u56fd\u306e\u9670\u967d\u601d\u60f3\u3067\u306f\u3001\u5076\u6570\u306f\u9670\uff08\u7e01\u8d77\u304c\u60aa\u3044\uff09\u3001\u5947\u6570\u306f\u967d\uff08\u7e01\u8d77\u304c\u826f\u3044\uff09\u3068\u307f\u306a\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nEven numbers are considered to be Yin (inauspicious), and odd numbers are considered to be Yang (auspicious) in the concept of Yin and Yang in ancient China.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u4e00\u6841\u3067\u6700\u3082\u5927\u304d\u306a\u967d\u6570\u3067\u3042\u308b9\u304c\u91cd\u306a\u308b9\u67089\u65e5\u3092\u3001\u6587\u5b57\u901a\u308a\u91cd\u967d\u3068\u547c\u3073\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nThe number 9 is the highest single-digit Yang number, and September (the ninth month) 9th is literally called Choyo (double Yang).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/?attachment_id=4016\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4016\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4016\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u5e73\u5b89\u6642\u4ee3\uff08794-1191\uff09\u3001\u5bae\u4e2d\u3067\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u7bc0\u53e5\u3092\u795d\u3046\u3088\u3046\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\nIn the Heian era (794-1191), Choyo-no-sekku began to be celebrated at the Imperial Court.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u7bc0\u53e5\u306e\u524d\u65e5\u3001\u65e7\u66a6\u306e9\u67088\u65e5\u306b\u8cb4\u65cf\u9054\u306f\u83ca\u306e\u82b1\u3092\u771f\u7dbf\u3067\u8986\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\nOn September 8th, the day before Choyo-no-sekku, aristocrats covered flowers of chrysanthemums with cotton.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u7fcc\u671d\u3001\u9999\u308a\u304c\u79fb\u308a\u3001\u9732\u3067\u6e7f\u3063\u305f\u7dbf\u3067\u9854\u3084\u4f53\u3092\u62ed\u3044\u306a\u304c\u3089\u3001\u4e0d\u8001\u9577\u5bff\u3092\u7948\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\nOn the next morning, they wiped their faces and bodies with the cotton containing the scent of the flowers and moisture of the dew while praying for perpetual youth and longevity.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u305d\u3057\u3066\u3061\u3087\u3046\u3069\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u7bc0\u53e5\u306e\u9803\u306b\u7f8e\u3057\u304f\u54b2\u304f\u83ca\u3092\u611b\u3067\u305f\u308a\u3001\u83ca\u3092\u984c\u6750\u306b\u548c\u6b4c\u3092\u8a60\u3093\u3060\u308a\u3001\u83ca\u3092\u65e5\u672c\u9152\u306b\u6d6e\u304b\u3079\u305f\u83ca\u9152\u3092\u98f2\u307f\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\nChrysanthemums were at their best around Choyo-no-sekku, so they appreciated chrysanthemums, made Waka (a Japanese traditional poem of a 5-7-5-7-7 syllable) about chrysanthemums and drank Kiku-zake (sake with floating chrysanthemums).<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/?attachment_id=4017\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4017\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u5bae\u4e2d\u3067\u306e\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u7bc0\u53e5\u306b\u3086\u304b\u308a\u306e\u3042\u308b\u83ca\u82b1\u58c7\u5c55\u306f\u3001\u6bce\u5e7411\u67081\u65e5\u304b\u308915\u65e5\u307e\u3067\u6771\u4eac\u90fd\u65b0\u5bbf\u533a\u306e\u65b0\u5bbf\u5fa1\u82d1\u3067\u958b\u50ac\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nKiku-kadanten (the chrysanthemum exhibition), which has a connection to Choyo-no-sekku in the Imperial Court, is held in Shinjuku Gyoen Park in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, from November 1st to the 15th \/>\nEven now, rites and festivals of Choyo-no-sekku are still performed in many shrines and temples.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u4e3b\u306b\u4e5d\u5dde\u3067\u304f\u3093\u3061\u3068\u547c\u3070\u308c\u308b\u53ce\u7a6b\u306b\u611f\u8b1d\u3059\u308b\u79cb\u796d\u308a\u306f\u3001\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u65e5\u306b\u884c\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nKunchi is an autumn festival for the appreciation of the autumn harvest held on Choyo-no-hi.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c69\u65e5\u306f\u300c\u304f\u3093\u3061\u300d\u3068\u3044\u3046\u8aad\u307f\u65b9\u3082\u3042\u308b\u306e\u3067\u3001\u304a\u796d\u308a\u306e\u304f\u3093\u3061\u306e\u8a9e\u6e90\u306b\u306a\u3063\u305f\u3068\u3044\u3046\u8aac\u3082\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nAccording to one theory, the origin of the name of Kunchi is the date of \u201cthe 9th\u201d as one of its pronunciations is \u201cKunchi\u201d in Japanese.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c69\u670815\u65e5\u304c\u656c\u8001\u306e\u65e5\u3068\u3057\u30661966\u5e74\uff08\u662d\u548c41\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u56fd\u6c11\u306e\u795d\u65e5\u306b\u5236\u5b9a\u3055\u308c\u305f\u306e\u306f\u3001\u4e0d\u8001\u9577\u5bff\u3092\u9858\u3046\u91cd\u967d\u306e\u7bc0\u53e5\u3068\u95a2\u4fc2\u304c\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nIn 1966 (Showa 41st yr), September 15th was established as a national holiday under the new name of Keiro-no-hi, Respect for the Aged Day, because the day was near Choyo-no-sekku, which was the festival for perpetual youth and longevity.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/?attachment_id=4014\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-4014\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u4e00\u65b9\u3001\u30e8\u30fc\u30ed\u30c3\u30d1\u3084\u30a2\u30b8\u30a2\u306e\u56fd\u3005\u540c\u69d8\u306b\u3001\u83ca\u306f\u54c0\u60bc\u3084\u8ffd\u60bc\u3092\u8868\u3059\u8c61\u5fb4\u7684\u306a\u82b1\u3067\u3082\u3042\u308a\u3001\u304a\u846c\u5f0f\u3084\u304a\u5893\u306b\u305f\u3073\u305f\u3073\u4f9b\u3048\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\nOn the other hand, chrysanthemums are also symbolic flowers to express condolences and sympathy in some countries like in Europe and Asia, so they are often offered in funerals and to graves.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u83ca\u306f\u685c\u3068\u4e26\u3073\u65e5\u672c\u306e\u4ee3\u8868\u7684\u306a\u82b1\u3067\u3001\u4e2d\u56fd\u3088\u308a\u5e73\u5b89\u6642\u4ee3\u306b\u89b3\u8cde\u7528\u3068\u85ac\u7528\u3068\u3057\u3066\u4f1d\u6765\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\nChrysanthemums as well as cherry blossoms are representative flowers in Japan, and they were introduced into Japan from China in the Heian era for appreciation and medicine.<\/p>\n<p><a \/>\nIn the Edo period (1603-1867), techniques of cultivation and improvement of breeds were remarkably developed by gardeners and flower \/>\nSince then, chrysanthemum competitive shows, exhibitions or festivals have been held all around Japan every autumn, and many new varieties are exhibited.<\/p>\n<p>\u25c6\u5927\u304d\u306a\u5c55\u793a\u4f1a\u3067\u306f\u3001\u5185\u95a3\u7dcf\u7406\u5927\u81e3\u8cde\u3001\u69d8\u3005\u306a\u5927\u81e3\u8cde\u3001\u77e5\u4e8b\u8cde\u3001\u5e02\u9577\u8cde\u306a\u3069\u306e\u8cde\u304c\u8a2d\u3051\u3089\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br
