\/>\n1989\u5e74\uff08\u662d\u548c64\u5e74\uff09\u306e\u662d\u548c\u5929\u7687\u5d29\u5fa1\u5f8c\u3001\u307f\u3069\u308a\u306e\u65e5\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u4f55\u3068\u306a\u304f\u99b4\u67d3\u3081\u307e\u305b\u3093\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u305d\u3057\u30662007\u5e74\uff08\u5e73\u621019\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u662d\u548c\u306e\u65e5\u304c\u5236\u5b9a\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n4\u670829\u65e5\u306f\u307f\u3069\u308a\u306e\u65e5\u3088\u308a\u3001\u662d\u548c\u306e\u65e5\u306e\u65b9\u304c\u9069\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u3068\u601d\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>April 29th had been TENNO-TANJOBI (the Emperor\u2019s Birthday) for me ever since I could remember.<br \/>\nAfter the demise of the Showa Emperor in 1989 (Showa 64th yr), the day changed to MIDORI-NO-HI, the Greenery Day, but I could not get accustomed to it.<br \/>\nAnd then, SHOWA-NO-HI, the Showa Day, was established in 2007 (Heisei 19th yr).<br \/>\nI think SHOWA-NO-HI is more suitable than MIDORI-NO-HI for April 29th.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/showa20110429yasukuni.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" \/>\n\u305d\u308c\u307e\u3067\u4f55\u5ea6\u304b\u9756\u56fd\u795e\u793e\u3092\u8a2a\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u3053\u3093\u306a\u306b\u9591\u6563\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u306e\u306f\u521d\u3081\u3066\u3067\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u80fd\u697d\u5802\u3067\u306f\u5949\u7d0d\u97f3\u821e\u53f0\u304c\u884c\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u62dd\u6bbf\u3067\u306f\u662d\u548c\u306e\u65e5\u306e\u5f0f\u5178\u304c\u884c\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>I went to Yasukuni Shrine on SHOWA-NO-HI in 2011 (Heisei 23rd yr).<br \/>\nIt had been only one and half months since the Great East Japan Earthquake caused unprecedented damage.<br \/>\nI had visited Yasukuni Shrine several times before, but it was the first time for me to see the shrine so quiet.<br \/>\nI talked with the people who worked for the shrine, and they told me foreign visitors rarely came after the earthquake.<br \/>\nHINOMARU (the sun circle flag), the Japanese national flags are raised in some parts of the precincts of the shrine to celebrate the national holiday.<br \/>\nThe ritual musical concert was held on NOHGAKU-DO (a play stage of NOH, a traditional Japanese play with songs and dances and performers wearing masks).<br \/>\nThe ceremony of SHOWA-NO-HI was held in HAIDEN (a building for worship in a shrine).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a \/>\n1999\u5e74\uff08\u5e73\u621011\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u958b\u9928\u3057\u305f\u3001\u662d\u548c\u306e\u4e2d\u3067\u3082\u7279\u306b\u6226\u4e2d\u6226\u5f8c\u306e\u56fd\u6c11\u751f\u6d3b\u3092\u4e2d\u5fc3\u306b\u8cc7\u6599\u3092\u5c55\u793a\u3057\u3066\u3044\u308b\u56fd\u7acb\u535a\u7269\u9928\u3067\u3059\u3002<br \/>\n\u662d\u548c\u306e\u65e5\u3060\u3063\u305f\u306e\u3067\u3001\u3053\u306e\u65e5\u306f\u5165\u5834\u7121\u6599\u3067\u30aa\u30ea\u30b8\u30ca\u30eb\u30af\u30ea\u30a2\u30d5\u30a1\u30a4\u30eb\u3092\u3044\u305f\u3060\u304d\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>After I left Yasukuni Shrine, I visited SHOWA-KAN (the National Showa Memorial Museum) on the opposite side of the road.<br \/>\nIt is the national museum that opened in 1999 (Heisei 11th yr), and it displays items illustrating the lifestyles of the Japanese people in the Showa period, especially during and after World War ll.<br \/>\nThanks to SHOWA-NO-HI, the admission was free and I was presented an original plastic folder.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/showa20150429meijijingu.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" \/>\n\u56fd\u6b4c\u6589\u5531\u3001\u653f\u6cbb\u5bb6\u306e\u6328\u62f6\u3001\u5b66\u8005\u306e\u8b1b\u6f14\u3001\u30b3\u30f3\u30b5\u30fc\u30c8\u306a\u3069\u304c\u884c\u308f\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u3053\u306e\u65e5\u306f\u660e\u6cbb\u795e\u5bae\u3067\u306f\u6625\u306e\u5927\u796d\u304c\u958b\u50ac\u4e2d\u3067\u3001\u96c5\u306a\u795e\u697d\u304c\u5949\u7d0d\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u660e\u6cbb\u795e\u5bae\u306f\u660e\u6cbb\u5929\u7687\u3068\u662d\u61b2\u7687\u540e\u3092\u5fa1\u796d\u795e\u3068\u3057\u30661920\u5e74\uff08\u5927\u6b639\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u5275\u5efa\u3055\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u5168\u56fd\u3084\u6d77\u5916\u304b\u3089\u5949\u7d0d\u3055\u308c\u305f365\u7a2e\u3001\u7d0410\u4e07\u672c\u306e\u6728\u306b\u3088\u308a\u3001\u7d0470ha\u306e\u5e83\u5927\u306a\u4eba\u5de5\u6797\u304c\u9020\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u73fe\u4ee3\u3067\u306f\u7d50\u5a5a\u5f0f\u5834\u3068\u3057\u3066\u3082\u6709\u540d\u3067\u3001\u3053\u306e\u65e5\u3082\u7d50\u5a5a\u5f0f\u3082\u884c\u308f\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<\/p>\n<p>On April 29th, 2015 (Heisei 27th yr), \u2018SHOWA-NO-HI WO OIWAI-SURU-TSUDOI (The Showa Day Celebration Meeting)\u2019 was held under the auspices of NPO \u2018Showa Day\u2019 Network at the Meiji Shrine Hall.<br \/>\nThe programs of the meeting are the national anthem, greetings by political leaders, a lecture meeting by a scholar and concerts.<br \/>\nOn this day, HARU-NO-TAISAI (Spring Grand Festival) was going on at Meiji-jingu Shrine, and graceful KAGURA (sacred dance and music) was donated.<br \/>\nMeiji-Jingu Shrine was established in 1920 (Taisho 9th yr) in Shibuya, Tokyo; which is dedicated to the divine souls of Emperor Meiji and his consort Empress Shoken.<br \/>\nThe vast artificial forest that covers an area about 70ha consists of 365 kinds of 100,000 trees donated from all over Japan and from overseas.<br \/>\nNowadays this shrine is also famous for wedding ceremonies, and even on this day wedding ceremonies were held.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u56fd\u7acb\u662d\u548c\u8a18\u5ff5\u516c\u5712\u306f1983\u5e74\uff08\u662d\u548c58\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u662d\u548c\u5929\u7687\u5fa1\u5728\u4f4d\u4e94\u5341\u5468\u5e74\u8a18\u5ff5\u306b\u4f5c\u3089\u308c\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u3053\u306e\u571f\u5730\u306f\u5143\u3005\u65e5\u672c\u9678\u8ecd\u306e\u98db\u884c\u5834\u3067\u3057\u305f\u304c\u3001\u7b2c\u4e8c\u6b21\u4e16\u754c\u5927\u6226\u5f8c\u306f\u7c73\u8ecd\u306b\u63a5\u53ce\u3055\u308c\u7acb\u5ddd\u57fa\u5730\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n1977\u5e74\uff08\u662d\u548c52\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u57fa\u5730\u304c\u65e5\u672c\u653f\u5e9c\u306b\u8fd4\u9084\u3055\u308c\u305f\u5f8c\u3001\u9678\u4e0a\u81ea\u885b\u968a\u306e\u7acb\u5ddd\u99d0\u5c6f\u5730\u306b\u306a\u308a\u3001\u5f8c\u306b\u6b8b\u308a\u306e\u4e00\u90e8\u304c\u516c\u5712\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n165.3ha\u306e\u516c\u5712\u306e\u4e2d\u306b\u3001\u82b1\u7551\u3001\u65e5\u672c\u5ead\u5712\u3001\u5e83\u5927\u306a\u829d\u751f\u306e\u5e83\u5834\u3001\u30d7\u30fc\u30eb\u3001\u76c6\u683d\u82d1\u306a\u3069\u304c\u6574\u5099\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\n2005\u5e74\uff08\u5e73\u621017\u5e74\uff09\u306b\u306f\u662d\u548c\u5929\u7687\u8a18\u5ff5\u9928\u304c\u958b\u9928\u3057\u307e\u3057\u305f\u3002<br \/>\n\u662d\u548c\u5929\u7687\u3068\u9999\u6df3\u7687\u540e\u306e\u3054\u907a\u54c1\u3092\u4e2d\u5fc3\u306b\u3001\u305d\u306e\u3054\u751f\u6daf\u304c\u7d39\u4ecb\u3055\u308c\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\n\u662d\u548c\u306e\u65e5\u306f\u5165\u5712\u7121\u6599\u306b\u306a\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Showa Commemorative National Government Park was established in 1983 (Showa 58th yr) to celebrate the 50th year of the Showa Emperor\u2019s reign.<br \/>\nOriginally there was a Japanese military airbase on this site, and after World War ll, the US military occupied it as the Tachikawa Base.<br \/>\nAfter the base was returned to the Japanese government in 1977 (Showa 52nd yr), the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force established the Tachikawa Base on part of the site, and later the park was opened in another section of the site.<br \/>\nThere are flower gardens, traditional Japanese gardens, large lawn areas, a swimming pool and a garden of BONSAI (a Japanese traditional culture using miniature trees in containers) in the 165.3ha park.<br \/>\nIn 2005 (Heisei 17th yr), the Emperor Showa Memorial Museum was established, where the articles left by the Showa Empress and the Empress Kojun are mainly displayed and their lives are illustrated.<br \/>\nOn SHOWA-NO-HI, the park is free of charge.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u73fe\u5728\u3001\u662d\u548c\u304c\u3061\u3087\u3063\u3068\u3057\u305f\u30d6\u30fc\u30e0\u306b\u306a\u3063\u3066\u3044\u307e\u3059\u3002<br \/>\n\u5404\u5730\u306b\u306f\u662d\u548c\u6642\u4ee3\u306b\u89e6\u308c\u308b\u3053\u3068\u304c\u3067\u304d\u308b\u535a\u7269\u9928\u3084\u5a2f\u697d\u65bd\u8a2d\u304c\u305f\u304f\u3055\u3093\u3042\u308a\u307e\u3059\u3002<\/p>\n<p>Nowadays there\u2019s a little Showa boom.<br \/>\nSome look back with nostalgia on especially the era of high economic growth in and after 1955 (Showa 30th yr).<br \/>\nThe entire towns of Ome City in Tokyo Metropolitan Prefecture and Bungotakada City in Oita Prefecture keep the atmosphere of the Showa period.<br \/>\nThere are many museums and entertainment facilities in various districts where people can experience the Showa period.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/showadotonbori.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" Gokuraku Shotengai was opened on the former site of Naniwa-za, a long-standing entertainment hall, in 2004 (Heisei 16th yr).<br \/>\nThe streets, shops and houses of Osaka in the beginning of the Showa era were replicated inside.<br \/>\nMy son and I enjoyed a musical show on the Showa-style downtown, played old-fashioned games and ate food of the period.<br \/>\nHowever, the amusement facility was closed because of financial difficulties in 2009 (Heisei 21st yr).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a 1964 (Showa 39th yr) and the Osaka Expo in 1970 (Showa 45th yr).<br \/>\nI felt as if I had been taken back to my childhood when I saw the streets and houses of the good old Edo-Tokyo Tatemono-en is an open-air architectural museum which was established in Koganei Park (a metropolitan park in Tokyo) in 1993 (Heisei 5th yr).<br \/>\nThis is a branch museum of the Edo-Tokyo Museum in Sumida Ward, Tokyo.<br \/>\n30 architectural structures from the Edo Period to the early years of the Showa Period were dismantled and reconstructed on a 7ha site.<br \/>\nThe museum is separated into three zones: the Central Zone, the Eastern Zone and the Western Zone.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a the Central Zone, the old Kokaen (ceremony hall) relocated from the outer garden of the Imperial Palace, the former secondary residence of the founder of Nishikawa Silk-reeling Company and the former residence of Takahashi Korekiyo, the 20th Prime Minister.<br \/>\nThe second floor of the residence of Takahashi Korekiyo was one of the scenes of the February 26 Incident, an attempted coup d&#8217;\u00e9tat by army soldiers on 26 February 1936 (Showa 11th yr).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/azuregns.com\/year\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/showaeast.jpg\"><img
